LORD OF LIFE IS HIRING for the position of Director of the Child Development Center 

Lord of Life is a vibrant and growing organization seeking a Director for the Child Development Center to oversee the 

program to support children’s physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth in a safe and nurturing environment.

Hours: Monday – Friday

Salary: From $62,000 per year

Job Overview

The Director of the Child Development Center is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations, educational programs, and staff management of the center. This position requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in early childhood education, administration, and curriculum development. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children while maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. This role offers an opportunity to influence early childhood education positively and support staff development within a dynamic setting.


Responsibilities 

  • Lead and manage the overall operation of the Child Development Center, including program planning and implementation. 
  • Supervise and mentor teaching staff, ensuring high-quality educational practices and adherence to curriculum standards. 
  • Develop and evaluate educational programs to promote optimal child development and learning outcomes. 
  • Maintain compliance with licensing regulations, safety standards, and accreditation requirements. 
  • Coordinate staff recruitment, training, and professional development initiatives. 
  • Foster strong relationships with families, community partners, and stakeholders to support children's well-being. 
  • Manage administrative tasks such as budgeting, record keeping, and reporting. 
  • Assist with fundraising efforts.
  • Promote a positive center culture that emphasizes inclusivity, safety, and continuous improvement.


Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of four-year college degree with concentration in Child Development or Early Childhood Education. 
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively. 
  • Commitment to the early childhood field. 
  • Proven experience working with children in an educational setting. 
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities. 
  • Knowledge of early childhood development principles and curriculum standards. 
  • Certification or licensure in early childhood education or related fields is highly desirable. 
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for children, families, and staff.
  • Capacity to represent the Child Development Center as a ministry.
